ChipFix Club started with a simple frustration: why should a tiny rock chip cost you a $200 deductible or a full windshield replacement? We built a membership model so San Diego drivers can fix chips fast, affordably, and without the insurance headache.

How chip repair actually works
Windshield chip repair is a proven process that's been used for decades. Here's exactly what happens when our technician arrives.

Inspect the damage
The technician examines the chip to confirm it's repairable — typically any chip under 1 inch in diameter or crack under 6 inches qualifies. Chips near the edge or directly in the driver's line of sight may require replacement instead.

Clean and prep
The damaged area is cleaned of debris, moisture, and any loose glass. A vacuum bridge is attached over the chip to create a sealed chamber.

Inject resin
Optical-grade resin is injected under pressure into the chip. The resin fills every void and bonds to the surrounding glass, restoring structural integrity.

Cure with UV light
A UV lamp cures the resin in seconds, hardening it to match the strength of the original glass. The repair is permanent.
- 05
Polish and inspect
The surface is polished smooth and the technician does a final inspection. Most repairs are nearly invisible. You're back on the road in about 30 minutes.
